School Code of Conduct
In order to maintain a safe
and distraction-free environment during class session and
to safeguard the School’s property, the
following rules are strictly enforced.
For Students
1. NEVER erase anything left on the blackboard
from Roy C. Ketcham High School classrooms. Write on the blackboard only when instructed
by your teacher(s).
2. NEVER touch or move any object on the
shelves, teachers’ or students’ desks, including computers. NEVER open any drawers.
3. Keep the desks and classroom clean.
4. NEVER play with window, sit on the
windowsill, or lean your body out of the window.
5. NEVER touch circuit breakers.
6. When class is in session, students should
stay in their classroom. Anyone who does not
have class should stay in the designated area approved by teacher(s).
7. Do NOT run, play with balls or empty soda cans, or shout in
the hallway and stairs.
8. No fighting any time, any place.
For Parents
1. DO NOT park vehicles
in the fire zones.
2. Parents with children
younger than 7 years old are welcome to stay with your children. Parents with children above 7 years old, who
like to sit in the class for the purpose of helping students at home, should sit
at the back of the classroom
3. Parents who want to stay
in the classroom during class hours should follow these rules
1.
No chatting/discussion between parents.
2.
Keep your voice down
when talking to your children.
3.
Pay respect to the
teacher’s instruction to the students.
It’s her/his class.
4.
No negative comments, discouraging words, nor distraction in the class.
Consequences:
1. Students who do not follow the rules will be
disciplined.
2. If a student continues to break the rules, his/her parents will be
notified.
3. If the situation does not improve, the
student will be expelled from this school and no tuition
refund will be given.
4. The teacher shall have the final say if a parent’s behavior warrants removal from the
classroom.
For each school year, the parents and students are required to sign and return a School Code of Conduct agreement. Please print a copy, sign and return to the teacher.
